A whirlwind trip to Guayaquil

We purchased our airline tickets three weeks ago to attend the District Assembly in Guayaquil, Ecuador. Upon our arrival today at the airport, we were told that the flight was canceled two weeks ago. Unfortunately, we were not notified of this change and thus were not allowed to change our tickets because both airlines did not have any available seats... at least not until 6pm tonight. How were we going to arrive in Guayaquil before the James´had to be interviewed? Hhhmmmm. That was the million dollar question. We will go by bus! Well..... there were no available bus lines that would allow for us to arrive in Guayaquil by 2pm today. OK. What now? Our taxis driver offers to take us to Guayaquil but for the asking price of only $120.00. Well, that is a bargin considering that the ticket prices for the plane was about $65 and the bus $12. Hhhmmmm. No thank you. Well, after a few minutes later and in a state of pure desperation, we all agreed on paying $110 and thanks to Jehovah we were able to arrive in Guayaquil safe, relieved and hungry. Now we can all have a wonderful nights rest so that we will be able to enjoy the assembly tomorrow. Thanks to the glass of wine that I had, I hope to sleep very good.
